Hi-Collar

A high collar lock washer is a type of split ring washer that fits under socket head cap screws and prevents loosening in high-vibration conditions. The washer has a smaller outside diameter than standard lock washers and a helical shape that creates a spring force and friction between the fastener and the mating surface. The washer flattens when tightened, increasing tension in the joint.
